INTER-MOLD® TECHNOLOGY

The inter-mold® technology allows the creation of hook fields in plastic parts simultaneously during a standard injection molding cycle (one-shot). inter-mold® eliminates the use of adhesives and significantly improves the design of your product.

The patented inter-mold® technology can be implemented in one of three ways:

1/ STANDARD INTER-MOLD® HOOK & LOOP PARTS
APLIX offers a wide range of standard fasteners using inter-mold® technology to meet the specifications of various applications. These fasteners also provide an alternative solution when the plastic resin used is not compatible with the inter-mold® technology. New fasteners can be designed upon request. It is very well suited for high temperature and humid environments.





2/ CUSTOM FINISHED PRODUCTS MOLDED BY APLIX

3/ WITH A LICENSE AGREEMENT (PLUS TOOLING FEE)

APLIX designs and manufactures specific inserts that are mounted into the injection mold. Hook shapes are incorporated in the insert to enable hook formation. The inter-mold® technology can be used with a wide range of plastic resins. Normal inserts are flat and can be made into any shape. Inserts with special geometries or specific hook orientation and density can be designed.
