Headliners Systems

APLIX presents two innovative systems to replace push pin fasteners and other components to affix headliner to sunroof modules.

1-Hook And Loop System

Gripping elements are positioned on the sunroof cassettes and engage into the loop parts affixed on the headliner for a secure attachment.

Headliner side :
aplix® 800 texturized loop element positioned onto the headliner.

» Uniformity of the height of the loops ensures a reliable attachment
» Material : Nylon texturized loop
» Specialty backing: High Performance PSA, EPDM with HP PSA
» Widths: 25 and 50mm (please consult us for other widths).

Sunroof side :
aplix® 224 agressive gripping elements positioned on the sunroof cassette

» Provides very aggressive performance values when used in conjunction with aplix® 800 loop. 
» Material : polyester base with PP gripping elements
» Specialty backing: High Performance PSA, EPDM with HP PSA
» Widths: 20mm and 25mm (please consult us for other widths)

Once the headliner is positioned under the sunroof module, simple pressure ensures the fastening of both components. Hook elements on the sunroof modules engage into the loops located on the headliner and yield a secure engagement.

2.  INTER-MOLD ® SYTEM:
To achieve a better design, APLIX introduces plastic trim rings with integrated throught the use of inter-mold® technology. Hook fields are designed to directly engage into the loop parts positioned on the sunroof module.

To achieve better design, APLIX introduces plastic trim rings with integrated hook fields through the use of inter-mold® Technology.

» Full Plastic Trim Rings or Brackets can be designed to incorporate inter-mold® hook fields or inter-mold® plastic parts to attach headliner to sunroof cassette and mating APLIX loop components. 
» Hook fields can be elevated to properly fill gaps between sunroof module and headliners.
» Plastic components are glued down or welded on headliners, weep holes provide a secure attachment.​

APLIX hook solutions for Headliners are designed to directly engage into the loop parts positioned on the sunroof module. This system provides material and labor cost savings as well as weight reductions and better design.
